Research exposing the poisoning of 1000 square miles around El Paso by Asarco smelter through what the EPA and US DOJ said was illegal burning of massive amounts of illegal hazardous and radioactive wastes from 1991 to 1998. The poisons remain. El Paso TXDOT will run an 800 million elevated toll road right through the worst of the worst poisons at our water supply. NO JUSTICE.

08.17.07 ASARCO cleaning up in Anapra
: ANAPRA, N.M. - Residents in the Anapra area are waking up to some cleaner yards because ASARCO has begun cleaning up lead and arsenic contamination. ....... As far as what is being cleaned up, ASARCO released this statement: "The clean up is being conducted under the direct supervision of the EPA. The material being removed and disposed of is not classified as hazardous waste and scientific studies show that there is not an imminent health impact to the community.".......
